The pattern says intermediate but this looks easier than some beginner patterns that I have looked at. I started a quilt as I have never made one before and it is not looking good. I have a hard time with matching only a few fabrics I end up with way to many so this charm packs are great. I am going to give it a try and the quilting looks simple enough. Nice tutorial.

I'm always looking for ideas to use up scrap fabric and this would be a great idea. Looks lovely made from a charm pack, but would work just as well with off-cuts or you could use spare fat quarters. If you used left-overs it would be a great way to make an attractive gift for virtually nothing.
