I have seen this flap on lots of different shams, but not actual pillow cases. Maybe I'm buying the economy pillow cases! lol I don't see why a sham wouldn't work, though, if it's the flap you need.

I have so many sheet sets, every once in a while you come across pillowcase with a flap inside. Occ. they have buttons, very rarely zips. No, we are not talking about shams here, just well made pillowcase, that keep the pillow INSIDE, depending on what type of pillow you sleep with some are always escaping the case. I think it's a great idea, and unless you know it's there, it's not usually something visible on the outside.

As for the 'flap' in the pillowcase - seems this is a cultural difference!! Here's a couple of comments from the post might clarify!! The 'flap' isn't the hem of the pillowcase. Its an extra fold of fabric at the opening of the pillowcase that covers the pillow end when you slip it inside the case. We have them here in Australia and also in the UK in our pillowcases, but I'm not sure if the USA is different as someone asked me this before! We don't have any such flaps in what we call pillow cases in the U.S. For my fellow Americans, I believe what they're calling a pillow case here is what we call pillow shams. Hope that helps!!!
