These do look as if they have been stitched as seams and left frayed but I would think if you wanted the look, but more finished looking you could do pintucks which would give you the same look only no fraying and nice and neat and finished. Just my opinion, Sherry

Looks to me like it was cut on the bias and those edges will fray very little and will not continue to ravel or fray. Go ahead and give it a try!

This is very pretty. Am I correct in thinking that the edges are raw and if raw, don't they ravel?
