This is a pretty spring or summer fabric, and from a sheet no less. Perfect for the light-weight airy drop-sleeve robe pattern that accompanies the instructions. There is a handy measurement chart for the robe pattern and simple rectangular pieces to follow to fashion your own modest pattern. Very nice.

Hi Weberme. I use old sheets and duvet covers a lot for sewing projects. You're right they're often much cheaper than buying fabric from a store an can be much bigger too. I have made children's clothes out of them. But never thought to make anything for myself. I'm going to see what I can find to have a go at this one.

This is a great idea to save some money because sometimes sheets are cheaper than fabric especially when you hit a sale and there are some pretty sheets too. This is so pretty it looks like it was bought from a specialty store. It is always nice to make your own clothes because you can control the length of the robe and length of the sleeves to what you like it to be. If you have ever wanted to make your own robe than this is for you and if you have a sheet not being then you can make this. If you want to have that vintage look than try a floral sheet like this.Anyone ever make one from a sheet before?

The best part of this pattern is that it doesn't look handmade. Love the look, and the price!

This is such a cool idea. Great way to keep pretty patterned sheets without tossing them away.
