Interesting tutorial on how to turn a fairly wide scarf into a skirt with the use of a zipper and a snap set. The converted scarf to skirt can still be used as a scarf too! I imagine some wool plaids that are study enough for this might be the best choice compared to a light flimsy material. The buffalo plaid pattern pictured is one of my favorites.
