Love the layering on this skirt and love that it is done in a contrast fabric. I have never tried making a square skirt but looks like fun. This tutorial makes it look easy. I can see this skirt being a conversation piece since it is so different and it does remind me of a dance skirt. I will have to add this also to list of things to make. Anyone make one yet? Is it as easy as it seems?

How do you know how big the square should be

The size of the squares depends on your own measurements and how long you would like the skirt to be. Try measuring how long you would like the piece to be (to you knees, just below, or above) and then cutting the square to match that measurement. The longest portion will be from the center of the circle to the corners of the square. Hope that helps!

Could also be done in a dressy version, maybe teamed with a cami for a coctail outfit.
