I like the idea of an oversized sleep mask. Having made several of a traditional size, I wonder why it never occurred to me to make them larger and more functional. The template for the oversize mask readily downloaded and the tutorial was very clear. Easy to sew and great gift idea.

This is a wonderful gift idea and I can use some scraps of lovely fabrics that otherwise would be too small to be of use. I am wondering if you could use a bit of binding on the top or sides to make an opening where you could insert some gel coolers inside. I have a gel mask and it is too cold to put directly on the eye and this would be a great solution!

What a great project idea! I bought a sleep mask but then realized it was not washable. Ugh! Why would they even make one like that? This is a much better solution. I can pick out whatever fabric I want and be able to throw it in the wash. Note to self go to store and buy some of that cute fold over elastic to make this.
