My 10yr old nephew and I spent a fun morning making about 10 of these. He cut out the shapes, I sewed, he handled the rice filling and they look really good! Now he wants a special pillow so, besides such wonderful quality time, he is really excited that he will be learning to sew.

Using cozy cloud forms to make a childs heating pad is a great idea. If no cloud printed fabric is available, then I imagine any blue fabric for background and hand stitch while fleece cloud shapes onto the fabric would work as well. I have made so many rice-filled heating pads of a square or rectangular shape however I like this cloud shape idea and will make several for gift-giving in the future.

As a chronic pain sufferer, I LOVE heating pads. Im not a fan of the electric ones though

Cute! Love how easy t make. #BestIdeaEver

I love that this gets kids involved in sewing! Plus, it's a practical item for adults. Sounds like the best of both worlds!
