What an absolutely adorable costume that does indeed look like and owl! Should I dare say, 'what a hoot'!!! Sorry, just couldn't resist! You could make this as easy or as elaborate as you wish by the type of fabric used, and if you added any highlights to the fabric with bias tape or ribbons. Cutting several thicknesses in the scalloped pattern can make this go more quickly! What a clever design and project! Just love it.... Thanks for sharing!

Oh wow what a great owl costume and it can be used for a boy or girl. This is a great piece to add to the play costume box for your little ones to play with. I bet they will play for hours. I wish there were a few more pictures on sewing the feathers on but it can be done pretty easy just read a couple of times. I love the mask and I think I may use real feathers too to make it more realistic. Great Halloween costume too.

Love homemade Halloween costumes. This one is adorable. The feathers can be cut from multiple layers of fabric quickly, then sewn onto a fabric background. The end result is a great owl costume that can be made in little time. I might try this using different colored pieces of felt then make a feathered mask as well.
