This is a fun idea and great beginner sewing project. Instructions call for using a product that is a fusible webbing to adhere the appliques. There are even Halloween jokes to print onto fabric and fuse to one side of the coaster with silhouettes to fuse onto the opposite side.

Great idea and would, make a super project for a classroom, scout troop or church kids's group too. A fun way to teach kids how to sew and also have fun for Halloween too! Make them in a larger size for placemats to,coordinate with these cute coasters. Or hand them out as trick or treat favors instead of candy this year! Clever and very creative, thanks for sharing! .

I have made round coasters before out of felt and they were so easy so these square ones should be even easier. These Halloween coasters will be great to use at a halloween party or even for decorating the table. I Like the idea of putting the sayings on the coasters or pictures but I think i may just stick to the Halloween fabric itself to make them fast. Thanks for the idea.
