I am doing some towels for sewing challenge and these are so fun and inexpensive to make. You can buy some nice kitchen towels from the dollar store and if they do not have them Walmart does . If you have some trim around the house from a project than that is free if not this is when to use 50% or 40% off coupons. All you have to do is a straight stitch across the ric rac and done. Be creative you one,two or as many row as you like and that's it. Simple. These will make some nice house warming gifts. Make a few for future gifts. I promise it will be addicting also you can add some to old towels to give them a different look.

This is a simple and decorative idea for a dishtowel. The finished end of tacking the ends with a zig zag stitch before actually sewing the entire piece of rick rack is a very helpful pointer. This a very inexpensive way to fancy up a dish towel that can be purchased from a dollar store and be very functional and stylish for the kitchen.
