What an attractive casserole carrier. And what could be easier than sewing together two quilted place mats and a swath of fabric for a handle? If you applique on your initials, your carrier will always find its way home!! They would make perfect wedding presents if made in white as well as hostess gifts.

A covered casserole carrier, great for pot luck events, is one of the most useful kitchen items to sew. This one is made with two quilted placemats and a bit of fabric and webbing to steady hand-carrying. Using store-bought placements, or even thrifted ones is a great time saver. This is a great gift idea as well.

About the place mat cassarole carrier, you have only one strap on it and I do not think that will be balanced to keep your cassarole from tipping from side to side and loosing it all together. Need two strapes criss-cross at bottom for full support.
