These cute cactus oven mitts brighten any kitchen as they will add much character compared to the old used ones hanging in most kitchens. Not sure I would use wool felt for the outside fabric though maybe something more durable like duck canvas or any heavy weight closely woven fabric to provide additional heat resistance.

Wow these cactus oven mitts look like so much fun to make. I never thought of using felt to make them. Does it work good? I would love to make some for a gift. They looks so easy to sew and would be great to use as a semi beginner project. The instructions are so easy to follow. Thanks for the idea.

These are so fun! I like to think of myself as a San Pedro cactus girl, but I appreciate the beautiful nobility of the Saguaro. Can't wait to make these.
