A pretty skirt to wear as a beach cover-up is always nice. Not sure how easy this skirt would be to sew with managing 3 yards of fabric, gathering and zipper insertion. The lace edging is charming and does give the gathered skirt its prairie look. I like the unique feminine look of this skirt.

I was looking at the instructions and have some ideas to make this lovely skirt even more flowing. A very soft light knit would work as well as a very soft rayon cut on the bias. I also think a knit lace would be lovely. Another item could be a king sheet from a second hand store trimmed with lace as well..this is just a great beach look...
