This is a nice practical project and I love the pretty fabric used in the photo. I have used oil cloth and also heavy cotton with sew on clear laminate for similar projects to keep them a bit more spill proof, but either way, you can still toss it in the wash if needed. This would make a great off to college gift! Super idea, thanks for sharing!

I made a little makeup fold bag out of laminated fabric and it was doable but the fabric does slide a bit so sew it slow but it is so well worth the little extra time on the sewing because if something like shampoo spills on it you can wipe it right off. I love that you can fold this toiletry hanging clutch up and take it with you and open up and hang when you get to where you are going. This will make a great gift for that traveler but make sure you make more than one. Super idea. Wish there was a video to go with the tutorial.
