Looking for a light and airy dress for your little girl and do not want to sew one from scratch then try making one from a pillowcase. This is so cute. It has that placket with buttons to give it that special touch. I love the idea to use the elastic hair ties for elastic to use with button closure on back. I would make a paper pattern off the first one so next time just lay the pattern on and cut. Grab a few pillowcases and make these for your daughter for a summer wardrobe she will be glad because they are so light and airy.
