Threads Shawl Collar Blouse
Love shawls but hate that they keep slipping off of your shoulders? Use this free sewing pattern to make a blouse with a shawl sewn into the collar. This light and airy Threads Shawl Collar Blouse is great for dressy and casual events. Shawls are a great tool to use to accent a nice top or to use when it starts to get chilly outside. Except, the worst part of wearing a shawl is when it keeps slipping off. There is enough people today need to worry about, and a shawl that keeps slipping off should not be one of them. With this free shawl and shirt pattern, the shawl is sown into the collar of the shirt, therefore, eradicating the problem of the shawl falling off all the time. Not only is this shawl a great pattern, it is tastefully done, so no matter what the shawl is guaranteed to stay on.

Love the airy look of this wrap-front blouse with a large shawl collar. The one-quarter scale schematic pattern is a free printable originally seen in Threads magazine #107, however it will require transferring to sewing type tissue paper and enlarge it to acquire the correct dimensions. I found that paper printed with a one-inch grid is most helpful.

This looks great in solid color, prints, and even a print shawl with a plain color blouse. Love it.
