Holiday stockings to hang on a mantel or railing does make for memories if the stockings are made from garments worn at a special occasion. They do become lasting heirlooms and much appreciated by family members. Although the instructions indicate these stocking are really covers, it is easy enough to make them from the treasured fabric directly.
