I see that most of the comments are from 2011 but thought I would chime in anyway. I think the dress is adorable, it is something our grnddaughters would absolutely love. Color is definitely a choice one of our would only want pink or purple the other would only want black and white. But I am not so ignorant as to make a negative comment even if I did not like it. All you have to do is just picture it in the color you would choose and be done with it. We visit the thrift store often for great remaking apparel.

In response to pgam50: Even tho one person may not like the dress doesn't mean that it isn't a great project. Each persons taste are different.

I love the dress and your blogspot. As a little girl I loved tiered dresses. They seemed to go on and on and felt luxurious. As for "rude" remarks might I suggest that in these increasingly "rude times" it is better to ignore them. Now one negative personal opinion, has spawned three posts touching on what should and what should not be said. The more "mention" negativity gets, the longer it destroys positive energy. Just my little Zen thought.

Hi guys! I'm so happy to be able to share something I created from a discarded item of clothing that only cost 50c. Like all fashions not everyone likes the same thing - but I respect that and all we can hope for a lot of the time is that others can be respectful towards us. The most important thing is that my beautiful 3 year old absolutely loves and appreciates this dress... as do some of the wonderful people who have taken the time to comment and give feedback... So BIG thanks

In response to pgam50: Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and I love this dress! I wish I had the shirt/fabric to recreate it myself. If I don't like something I just move on until I find something I do like. I would NEVER be insulting based on my opinion; that is just wrong.

It's not about saying something nice or keeping your trap shut; a better rule is say something nice or offer constructive criticism, but if you can't come up with anything in those two categories, THEN keep your trap shut.

I feel this was a rude remark made by pgam50. My theory is if you can't say anything nice you need not say anything at all
