Refashioning dresses is a great idea. And even if you don't have a dress in mind, sometimes you can find that almost, but not quite perfect dress, where the size, fabric and color are just what you want, but the style, not so much, at the neighbor's garage or estate sale, or at the local thrift or resale shop. You get it home and you can do this re-creation from maxi to midi! Super creativity!
