This simple sewing project uses old ironing clothes in order to make an ironing glove. If you've ever placed your hand inside a shirt or dress in order to iron the creases, you will find this glove incredibly handy. This is wonderful to use when you have something small that you need to hold in place while ironing/steaming! You can get up close and no steam burns.

Really, I have been ironing since I was five that was over fifty years ago. And for twenty years I was a professional seamstress...the iron is my right hand assistant. I have burned my hand less than five times. why bother with this?

disco dotty--That is very rude-why even bother to comment? I'm sure that a lot of people will find this extremely useful!

I'm so sad you think that if it's not useful for you, isn't useful for others! I found it very useful, maybe because I haven't been a professional seamstress for twenty year... and like me many others, I bet! I'm happy you never burned your fingers, I hope you'll never do that... but if you do.... don't bother ;) Happy Sew-Sewing, MammaNene @ SergerPepper

As others have said, just because you are a professional seamstress and have no need of this item doesn't mean that nobody needs to "bother" with this - I am sure many people will find it helpful. Personally I wouldn't, but I also wouldn't dream of being so rude!!! I consider it rather irresponsible of your mother to allow you to iron at 5 years of age!!! Maybe her time would have been better spent improving your manners?
