When I was middle school over 40 years ago we were able to make a poncho for beginning sewing in Home Economics and we were to make ponchos. I made mine with a printed terry cloth and put fringe all around the bottom. I loved it and of course fringe was in, it was the 70's. I loved it. # National Sewing Month
