This is such a great idea. I am always trying to get away from spending so much on paper towels. These will sew up quickly and be super absorbent. Unfortunately I spill a lot since my hands sometimes go numb and glasses fall out of my hand. I don't buy glass anymore as a result. These will help with those spills and I won't be sending all that money just to throw the paper towel away. Thank you.

I love this idea. It is simple, yet is not something that I have ever thought of doing! I have to buy paper towels all the time because the kids will never use the kitchen hand towel. This would save so much money! Not to mention that this is absolutely perfect as a gift as NedHed said. I know so many people that could benefit from this! Thank you so much for posting this!

What kind of snaps did you use? Plastic or metal? Does the press use plastic?

Great pattern except that the dimensions are incorrect. A standard paper towel is actually 11x12 (not 12x13 as stated), so everything needs to be adjusted accordingly so that the roll will fit in a paper towel holder. I made a bunch of these for Xmas presents this year!
