These frayed denim coasters are actually quite charming. Nice recycle project for no longer usable denim jeans. The raveled edges give this project much style. The instructions and photo show how easy it is to duplicate the look along with a helpful hint to tear the jeans to get the straight-of-grain important so the edges all ravel evenly.

These denim coasters are very cute. I was wondering why the author didn't just use the raw edges of her denim. Once squared off, two sides would be white and two would be blue..maybe she wanted a consistent look. Because I want to make these fast and they are going to be used outside, I don't mind a two toned fringe.
