DIY Thrifty Christmas Tree Skirt
Transform an old tablecloth into a new holiday decoration with this DIY Thrifty Christmas Tree Skirt! The easy sewing pattern is budget-friendly, too.
From the blogger: "Every Christmas tree needs a pretty skirt to place colorful wrapped gifts on, and its super easy to make your own by repurposing an unused tablecloth! If you're using a round tablecloth, most of the work is already done for you. If you have a rectangular one, its still very simple to cut out the circular shape, make the central opening and the side slit and sew it all together. And when you repurpose an old family tablecloth, your Christmas tree skirt has lots of memories, and you're also helping the environment AND your wallet!"

I do not have a Christmas tree skirt and really need to ake one this year. I usually just wrap a piece of cloth around the tree but using a round tablecloth is a super idea. If you do not have one and do not want to buy fabric why not check out thrift stores. They usually have them very inexpensive. This is a very good tutorial and has some great ideas. I love the idea of putting the snaps in he back so the skirt does not move everytime you put something under the tree or a kid or animal keeps picking it up.
