I love these zippered pouches and they are so very easy and fast to make. I made mine with cotton fabric and some middle weight fleece lining. I learned how to put in the zippers with a zipper tab which makes it so much easier and I love the way the sewn bottoms gives it a wider pouch. This is a super tutorial and you will be amazed how you will be making this zippered pouch in no time at all. Make some extras for gifts while you are making them. Great way to use up those extra pieces of fabric.

Wow! The Waxed Canvas Zippered Bag is such a cute project to make something look luxurious for little money. I love the idea of using scraps to make this purse. I am looking for projects to make using leftover scraps of leather I found, and this is probably the perfect project to try to make.

I just made this pattern using cotton lined with self fabric and very stiff interfacing but I can't wait to try this with the heavier canvas. I like the fact that you could use remnants to fashion a nice mixed color design on the outside and that serves not only in the practicality of using up fabric, but also making a unique an artsy design as a result... It's a win-win that way! This little bag is so practical and makes a great gift.... Or even can serve as the 'wrapping' for another gift ticked inside! Thanks for a great project!
