I'm so glad that this Reversible Tote Bag project is rated 'easy' because I want to make 3 (1 for myself and 2 for friends) and I don't have an awful lot of free time available right now. I want to try to adjust the size to make it a little bigger. The instructions are really good so I shouldn't have any problems.

The nice part of this hobo tote is that you could adapt the size of the body of the bag as well as the handles to either accommodate your purpose.... Smaller for a child, bigger to handle more contents or to fit to whatever fabric you may have on hand. Regarding the handles...if this is too difficult to manage the transition, you could easily put all sides together as cut and as the finished project should be and just serge or do a heavy finished stitch all around the raw edges to finish, or use bias tape fabric. Then no need to turn right side out!

One thing I can NEVER have enough of is bags and totes. I have umpteen of them, most of them I have made myself, I love them all and this Reversible Hobo Tote is going to a great addition to my every growing collection, lol! I love the casual look and looking at the pattern is really is going to be easy to make.

I've made several of these so that I could work on perfecting it and I think I'm almost there, but I could use some help/advice for one spot. I seem to have trouble with transition from the bag part to the handles. Is there some magic to how it's done?

I never have enough bags! Do you? Ok maybe I just love bags. Now with this lovely pattern I can make one to match every outfit I own. I like the colours of this tote in particular. The fabrics go so well together. I don't know though if I would find it necessary to use interfacing when using denim. Would the bag still hold up well without a third layer?

I am also new to sewing. Did you have any trouble with the transition between the bag part and the handles? That spot is still a little bumpy for me. I've made about four of these and I have gotten better, but I still feel like I am missing something. Any tips?
