I saw a similar tutorial for a bag like this last week but the slits were cut horizontally which meant they made gaping holes when there was any weight in the bag. Vertical slits, like in the bag above, is the right way to do it because they won't tear easily at all.

A very well put together tutorial for a grocery bag and the cutting give it a nice touch to make it look unique and the holes give it some breathing room to keep foods from getting sweaty and ruin on a hot humid day in summer. So very fast and easy to make and I like that you recycle your old T-shirts. A nice project to learn how to sew. Nice easy instructions. Thanks.

TERRIFIC idea!! plus being white any stains will show, esp from leaking meat packages!. just throw in wash regularly -something too many of us forget tot do when we use the commercial eco-bags
