Where in the world can I get some burlap that doesn't smell awful. I washed mine and sit it out in the sun for 4 days and the smell did not go away.

wher can i find the pattern for the roses? they are so cool.

I cannot wait to make this! Has anyone done any machine embroidery on burlap? Just curious.....

Several people have been unable to access my site to get this pattern. Seems that Internet Explorer doesn't scroll properly on this post. It works for my Internet Explorer and also Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome. If anyone has trouble getting this pattern I would be happy to email it to them! Cheers! La Maison Reid

I love this bag but I can not find the pattern for it.Can you email them to me? jeanredner@gmail.com Thank You Jean

I can access your web site, but I cannot move around in it to find the pattern. Can I get the pattern some other way. It is soooo cute. Thank you.

@ Gishy , We just checked the link on our end and it seems to be working fine. Here is a direct link to the pattern: http://lamaisonreid.blogspot.com/2010/08/burlap-purse-with-shabby-rose.html I hope this helps! --editors of AllFreeSewing

that looks lovely, just wandering what is burlap, is it the same thing as what we in england called hessian?

I bought a bunch of BURLAP and really don't know what to do with it! THANKS for the idea!!! I will definitely make one of these right away!

This is really nice...I will def try it out! I love the rustic look...I think I'll try adding a prim doll face or a small raggedy. LOVE IT!!!!

I think the instructions are straightforward enough, and I love, LOVE the purse!

I love this Burlap purse! The instructions were easy to follow & it turned out amazing!

I was unable to access the directions. Would it be possible for you to forward them to me?? Perhaps it is my computer, but I have been trying for a couple of days now. I have it saved to my files -- but still unable to have any movement on the picture page and I am logged in -- or I could not have saved it to my records.

I love this purse! I was able to make it in about 3 hours. I used a thick fabric for the outside I picked up to make a kid's coat with and a cotton print for the inside. I can't wait to make it with burlap, I just didn't have any on hand! It is a very easy purse to make, however for a beginner they may be confused at the end when you have to sew the outside and the lining together. I think a more in depth tutorial might be better for beginners.
