When you’re sewing, the last thing you want is to spend hours upon hours pinning fabrics together that only result in bulging, bunching, tearing, and stretching. With these Ribbon Band DIY Pattern Weights, you’ll never have to worry about pesky pins ever again! These handy guide on how to make pattern weights uses 3’’ squares of fabric, perfect for cleaning out your scrap stores, and a ribbon band so that each weight can hook around your fingers. Fill every mini-pillow with dense materials, such as rice or small beans, and your fabrics won’t budge while you sew them!

These are going to be life savers! Can't wait to use these on my next pattern.

When I'm prepared to embark on a sewing adventure, there's nothing more frustrating than spending the majority of my prep time inserting (and dropping!) tiny pins along the length of my pattern. Especially when the pins lead to unsightly bunching, I'm game for any quick alternative!

I agree with you I find pins all over the floors especially when I sweep and they are always ripping my pattern and some even tear. These look so easy to make and you can make them in leftover fabric.Have you made any yet and used them? Which one are you using rice or beans?
