DIY Travel Sewing Kit
There are few things more terrifying than being on vacation and hearing a seam tear while in your favorite pair of jeans. You're in a new place, you may not know the language, and now you have a hole in your pants the size of a quarter.
Never fear this scenario again with this DIY Travel Sewing Kit! This no-sew DIY emergency sewing kit is made from a traveling soap container. It fits all you could need to feel safe on your cross-country escapades, like folding scissors, thread, measuring tape, a seam ripper, ribbon, and even a felt scrap to hold pins, safety pins, and sewing needles!

I like the idea of using a covered soap container to hold sewing supplies. Great for traveling. A lot of sewing notions can easily fit into the soap container. Besides the usual folding scissors (slender stork scissors might do), straight pins, sewing needles, tape measure, safety pins and a few bobbins of threads and a few buttons, some elastic hair ties can be stretched around the container to keep it secure.
