Here's a cute child's apron you'll enjoy making and the kids will love wearing.

It's a free apron sewing pattern complete with a video tutorial so you'll be led through each step by Angel from Fleece Fun. Keep their clothes clean and your mind at ease with this cute DIY apron.

If you think about it, making a DIY apron for kids is more useful than making an adult apron because children can be far messier. When the apron is this cute, your little one will want to put it on no matter what they're playing with.

This particular free child's apron pattern uses two power-clashing fabrics that result in a sweet and adorable piece that almost looks like a dress.

You can make it in all one print or a solid color, too. Feel free to add embellishments as well, such as buttons, ribbons, flowers, or appliques.

Where did the video go? I was glad to find a video on making this childs apron to see how it is done instead of just reading. It is also easier to teach someone to sew with the videos instead of the tutorials and this would be something a beginner can do.

My granddaughter (age 2) loves this apron 0 she is moms helper. I also made her a chefs hat to match, which she loves wearing. I made a very tailored boys apron for her twin brother -- he doesn't like the chefs hat!!! thinks it should look like a baseball cap I think. Oh well one out of two isn't bad.

How do I get this pattern? I don't see anyplace where it says to "download pattern" Thanks, connie

Hi, Scootershouse. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! You can find the pattern download here: http://www.fleecefun.com/baking-outside-the-box-apron-pattern.html . Happy sewing! --Editors of AllFreeSewing

Well I did it but for a beginner I found it to be a little more difficult and instead of an hour it was more like five hours .. however it was my first time sewing but it came out beautiful

I found this pattern to be more intermediate than easy
