I don't pay $50 for a handbag of any design, least of all, a simple clutch. Other than using a clutch inside another bag to help segregate contents, I have no use for them, because I like my hands to remain free of incumbrances. Any bag with a shoulder strap is automatically better than a clutch, even if there are no inside compartments. @maumer 6851699 - I was able to access the instructions for making the DIY envelope clutch. The pattern is only for sale, not free.
