Easy patterns for a fleece blanket. It gives you the choice of three different trims to add. I personally like the pom poms.

Since fleece blankets nearly make themselves out of mostly a cut of yard of fleece with nothing more to do, I was curious about creating a fleece blanket. It really is the trim on the blankets that give a finished look to the cut of fuzzy fabric. The jumbo rick rack trim is lovely, the pom poms would no doubt entertain a cat for a bit, but I think I would add a fold-over braid to the edge to keep the softness to the blanket.

I love cozy blankets! I can never have too many. I especially like the idea of adding ric rac as a border. What a fun idea!

I love cozy blankets too and can never have enough around the house. Every time I leave one out it sees to disappear so I know I need to make some more. I have seen the fleece when I am at fabric stores but it has gotten pretty pricey and I hate that because I would love to make some more blankets. I usually make mine two sided so it cost double the price but with these ideas you do not need to. Have you made any lately? Which method did you finish with?
