The pattern seems to be working now, click on the link that says click here for pattern. I like this pattern a lot and found it interesting that the person used newspaper to get the correct shape. I think it would look nice with the appliqued hearts finished with a blanket stitch instead of a zig zag. If you were making more than one, you could try each way and see which you like better.
