I've sewn from purchased patterns before, but I've never made my own pattern and it, quite frankly, frightens me. Does anyone have recommendations for a beginner? In anticipation of attempting this, I have purchased a dress form which I think should help, but I really don't know where to start. I really don't even know what kind of paper to use.
