I really like loose fitting shirts and this one looks real nice. I have been meaning to try my hand at making my patterns off of clothing but still not quite sure. The blogger does a great job on giving the detail and showing pictures of the steps. Me and knits do not get along when doing neck lines but I will give it another go. I do not think I will make my V as deep as this though. A little higher. I love the embroidery on the shirt too.

This is exactly the style of tops I love to wear and the top marks to the tutorial writer for lots of detail and pictures to illustrate each step. Some people have all the knowledge in the world as to how to draft their own clothing patterns, but they lack the ability to pass on this knowledge in a way that novice sewists will completely understand. This blogger, however, does a great job. I might even have to drag out my Singer Machine for the embroidery as my Janome doesnt quite have the stitch range.

Very nice looking tunic pattern here! I have been thinking about making some tunic tops because I like to wear them with leggings and with jeans. The beauty of this top is that it is very versatile in the way you could make it, the pattern is rather "loose" and easy to modify. I like that the blogger decided to try to use some of the decorative stitches found on her sewing machine. I too like to challenge myself to try new things, so I can relate to her!
