Does your child like to watch you sew or ask you to teach them then this is a good project to start with. You can make these for Christmas gifts for the grandparents and put names of all the grands on it or even do a small family tree. This is hand sewn so they should be able to do this with little help and then they can be proud they made this themselves, Great gift forMothers Day too.

Now this IS a sweet idea, and sure to become a treasured family heirloom and momento! Another idea for this is to have each child sign their own name with fabric marker. Or they could just write it on paper and this could then be traced. If your sewing machine does lettering, this also could be an option for a fancier look. This would make a nice gift fro. Grandma to her grandkids, or to grandma, from the grandkids.... Either way, a wonderful keepsake! Super!
