This is a very cute kids butterfly net toy. Great for outdoor summer play. The net might lend itself to using a wire hanger bent into a circular shape if a wire wreath form is not available. Might make the net much lighter too. The instructions have many steps but the idea itself seems adaptable to improvising.

i just saw some of these metal wreaths at the dollar store a few days ago so I will need to go pick some up for keeping at my house when the grands come over and I have some tulle I was going to use for another project and used something else so all I need is a dowel stick or even a broom handle cut and scrap fabric and I can create some butterfly and bug catching nets. Super easy to do. Thanks.

What a clever idea! I've never thought to use a wreath ring for any project besides, well, wreaths! It's so fascinating how crafting materials can cross over between projects. I definitely look at my craft stores differently since seeing this project!

I've never thought of making our own net but the kids would love it! Especially choosing their own edging fabric.
