I agree with you. I also took my mom's sewing stuff when she passed away 4 years ago including her Bernina sewing machine. Every time I use it I feel as if my mom is by my side. It is a comforting feeling.

My mom, who has passed away, used to sew for my kids when they were little. I made blocks for my new grandson out of material my mom had used to make the baby's dad pajamas and shorts. I gave this as a gift at the baby shower. It was almost as if my mom was there. I am so glad I took all her sewing stuff when she died, and that I was able to use it in this way.
