I like this idea for hand-stamped placemats. Making the stamps out of potatoes is a great family craft project. The tutorial that accompanies the instructions is clearly written and easy to follow. The fanciful leaf design is perfect for autumn. Easy to see how other simple designs, like a heart for instance for Valentines Day or shamrock for St. Patricks Day might work as well.

With the school holidays approaching I guess Mums are going to be searching for activities to keep the children occupied and here is one thats sure to be a winner. There are a few supplies required, although the more Craft-minded people will probably have many of them on hand already. The children will love to do the stamping and they are sure to love the idea of using placemats that theyve had a hand in creating.
