Our blog, Seams and Scissors, is hosting a fabric and gently-used denim drive for Urban Threads Studio that starts today, June 1st, and runs through June 25th 2015. We knew as soon as we started talking with UTS that this drive would be a perfect fit for our readers. We know so many of you are just itching to make some space in your craft rooms. Before you start snagging fabric from your stashes, though, we’ve got some important info for you.

Fabric Drive Requirements:

The kids at the UTS summer camp are going to be learning how to sew shorts, tank dresses, pajama bottoms, & messenger bags, and there are specific fabrics they are looking for in order to gather supplies for these projects.

The Types of Fabric We Are Looking For:

• Cottom
• Flannel
• Canvas
• Denim**

**If you have some raw denim sitting on your shelves that you would like to part with, that’s wonderful, but you can also send us your gently-used denim pants, jackets, or skirts. Please launder your gently-used denim before sending it in.
