Rag quilts like this one sew up quickly and surprisingly look just lovely once washed and dried. The exposed cut seam edges do fluff nicely giving the quilt a country charm. This quilt lends itself to using all those fabric scraps saved just waiting for a sewing project. Pastel fabrics look great for spring, or the golds and tans for fall, red, white and blue for a patriotic theme or reds and greens for holiday time.

This is a great tutorial! I have been wanting to make a rag quilt, but I wasn't sure how to even start. This tutorial is quick. It was very easy to understand. I already have the first two rows of my new quilt done! Thanks for this! I can't wait to finish it!
