My teenage granddaughters have similar foam, they're pretty crafty and concerned about the environment and throwing reusable things away. They are both gymnasts and have project parties to raise money for trips, unitorms, etc.. I sent them this project and they made several with their friends. They also fashioned "tablet" protectors for their ipads and sold them at their gym metes...very clever use and re-use...and very industrious!!!

Good idea. I don't have any yoga mats but I first thought it was made from the colored foam you can get at craft stores. I've been looking for ways to customize my bins in my craft room as I have odd-size shelving & slots. This might work for me. Yeah, and you CAN teach kids to be gentle, even boys.

Not really that good of an idea. Especially for toys. Kids are destructive.
