Tissue Pouches
Use this free sewing project to make Tissue Pouches to keep in your purse, in your desk, or on your night stand. These sewn pouches are a much prettier alternative to the wrappers that tissues come in. When the cold weather starts to blow in and you know flu season is just around the corner, start making some DIY sewing project ideas to combat this sickly time of year. Making pretty free bag patterns to keep your tissues tucked in can give you a bit of style despite a stuffy, runny nose.

Great stand-by gift-giving idea for co-workers or shower party favors. The lacy edges gives the pocket tissue cover a nice delicate touch. I have made these many time before in a variety of fabrics and felts as they are a quick-to-make gift. I leave off the lining however to make the process go much faster.

These are great little stocking stuffers for a gift, or would make a nice bridesmaids' gift or hostess momento! In addition to being a tissue holder, this same pattern would work nicely for a small travel jewelry holder by adding a little snap, zipper, or fold over the top a bit closer and secure with a snapped band of fabric. Great project for a fabric scrap buster too!
