Rope Coil Bowl Tutorial
From the Blogger: "Now that Christmas is past, it is time to think about other lovely excuses for sewing! I am looking ahead to Easter with this cute and very useful fabric bowl. It is easy to make and easy to match to your decor - simply choose the scraps that you want to use to match the intended room.
And don't forget the men and boys in your life. This is one time where they will be happy to get a useful bowl to put keys or coins in. Mine is made from strong and rugged just twine but you can use any thicker cord at all and get great results. Happy sewing!"

I adore how durable this pattern feels since it's made from rustic materials. The contrast between the rough twine and the softer fabrics is so intriguing! What a great way to use up leftover fabrics from finished projects.

I have always wanted to make one of these coiled bowls as they have a rustic quality to them and look great on a kitchen table or counter with fresh seasonal fruit. I especially like the randomness of the added fabric which gives the bowls a great deal of character. Since the instructions are so clear now I should be able to make one myself.
