Anything that gets the kids excited and involved is a winner! You could make the pumpkins mouth into a cheery smile for younger kids, and a bit more spooky for the older ones, or even make it reversible to suit the recipient or situation. Having this little guy sitting in a bench on the porch a,inside the Hakkoween candy would be a cute touch! Thanks for sharing!

I don't think I would personally decorate with it, but it looks like a fun project to do with kids especially since it can be done by hand.

Cute, think I will make one for my 16 month old granddaughter. And a new sewing machine would make all my projects easier!

Cute pumpkin. My grandson will love to make this. He has a mantle to put it on at his house. A new sewing machine?? Would love to ...

The fabric pumpkin doll seems to be an extremely easy project that I will enjoy making for the neighborhood kids to enjoy this Halloween.. I also would truly enjoy a new sewing machine as mine is almost as old as I am (and that's OLD!) Thank you for this enjoyable blog each day.

Cute little guy. I think he would be fun like the elf on the shelf, but do a Halloween version instead.

This would look great hanging on my front poarch with my other Halloween and fall decorations. I would leave the face off so I could leave it out until Thanksgiving.

Cute project, yes indeed! The only thing is I would use more muted colors of orange and green for that "field pumpkin" effect. I've got a bunch of calico, might even put together a fabric by crazy quilting before I cut out the body.
