Our teenage daughter and her friend each asked that I make them one, When I said I wasn't sure when I could get around to it she said "But, Mom, it won't take long cos the pattern says 'easy'!". BINGO!! Indeed it does say easy and she's just started using a sewing machine and is looking for easy projects to make.....do you see where my head is going? So they will do the making and I will be there to coach and advise when they need it. lol!

There are heaps of tutorials around for drafting off a dress pattern from a tee shirt you currently own. However I particularly like this one because the writer adds a few extra tips - things like making sure your right angles really are right angles in order to get a better fit. The neat little knot at the hemline is a special touch too.

This is a very pretty T-Shirt dress and I agree with LynM there area lot out there but like her I find this to be a good one because of the very good tips Riva gives when cutting the dress out. I see so many at stores that a cheaper to buy but they are never what I like or the fit too loose or too tight or to long or to short. I like having control on how I like to wear my clothes and a lot of times you have to make them. This is a tutorial I think you will like. Nicely done and good pictures to go along with it. Thanks.
