French Braid Mug Mat
"This latest in my monthly mug mat series is a great way to try out the French braid piecing technique! It’s much easier than it looks. This is also a perfect scrap buster, since it’s constructed using strips that are only 1 ½” wide. I used a solid piece of fabric for the backing, but there’s also the option of using the same method there, to use up even more of those scraps. This simple project makes a great gift!"

This is a great way to learn a different technique and use up scraps of fabric. I always use mug mats since I do not want a stain on my furniture. The great thing about using fabric is that you can always wash the mats. Once you get the technique down you can go larger as well. Thank you.
