Oven Mitt Pattern & Tutorial
From the Blogger: "Oven mitts make a great gift for a housewarming or wedding shower. Give a couple of these in a fabric that matches the recipient's style along with some baking pans and you've got a great gift. You can quickly and easily sew one up using this free printable pattern and tutorial. Even beginning sewists can complete this project. It does not require much fabric either, so it is a great one for using up some of your larger scrap pieces leftover from other projects."

I like this simple straightforward oven mitt pattern. I would add a small loop of material or fold over binding in a coordinating color for easy hanging on a kitchen hook. If the Insul-Brite batting is not available, then a few layers of cotton (not polyester) batting would work as well.

I've been having trouble finding oven mitts that are small enough for my hands and give me more control when handling hot items in the kitchen. Looks like this pattern might do the trick!
